The Colton High School Writing Center recently opened its doors to assist the overwhelming majority of us who need help with our writing. Take a look at Yellowjacket Writing Center for additional information on services available for students and staff. The link is also available on every Colton High Haiku page. I also included the College Prep resources on the drop down menu on the "College" page on the After High School website. I added CHS Writing Center College Prep here as well.

Look at the following for specific requirements http://www.valleycollege.edu/academic-career-programs/specialized-programs/valley-bound-commitment Since the online posting pertains to the 2013-14 school year, make sure to get updated applications from Ms. Cardenas.

Attention CHS Seniors,
Even though this school year has just begun, it's important to begin making preparations for your next educational undertaking after graduation. I created a voice thread titled "CHS Senior Graduation Gear Up" to better assist you http://voicethread.com/share/2178692/ I will show this presentation & answer any questions during Senior English library visitations later this month. In the meantime, I suggest you do the following: A. Decide where you want to be next school year (ie. college, military, vocational/technical training school, etc.) B. Save as much money as possible for SAT or ACT tests & college applications C. Create an account at College Board http://www.collegeboard.org/ D. Allocate time for preparing for entrance exams & completing college applications. Take a look at the College & Career section under the Student tab of this website for more exam information, college & career links, and financial aid.
